Liveware Publishing Sues HRMG, Best Software Business Partner For Copyright Infringement

August 08, 2002 – Philadelphia – Liveware Publishing announced that it has filed a lawsuit alleging copyright infringement against Human Resource Management Group, Inc. (HRMG). The suit was filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. HRMG, located in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, is a Best Software Business Partner selling and distributing Best’s Abra Suite software program that incorporates unauthorized copies of Liveware’s R&R Report Writer software.

Liveware had filed a separate copyright infringement lawsuit in March against Best in federal court in Wilmington, Delaware. That suit is still active.

Liveware is a privately owned company headquartered in Claymont, Delaware. Best Software is the U.S. subsidiary of The Sage Group plc, headquartered in the United Kingdom. Best Software’s headquarters are in Reston, Virginia.
