May 01, 2002 – Wilmington, Delaware – Liveware Publishing today announced the release date for RattleRRÔ, its business intelligence tool for delivering dynamic reports to Portals, Intranets, Extranets and the World Wide Web.
RattleRR is a server-based tool that leverages companies’ existing investments in training and development with R&R Report Writer, Liveware’s mainstay product. With RattleRR, reports can be executed dynamically from a client’s Web browser and displayed in a custom ActiveX control, retaining all layout and format information.
RattleRR is targeted at small and mid-size companies that don’t have large budgets to throw at Internet business intelligence development projects. But RattleRR is also for larger companies that no longer wish to pay five figure server-licensing fees. At $3,000 per server for unlimited users, RattleRR changes the economics of Internet report deployment.
RattleRR is controlled through ASP scripting. Developers can pass information from the Internet into the report to control querying, sorting, grouping, display, formatting and more. The reports are executed on the server and access the source data in real-time. Typical uses include employee self-service, vendor information review, statement presentations, billing and field-access to corporate data.
A full license of R&R Data Warehouse is included with each license of RattleRR.
