What's New in R&R Version 7

OLE Support

With R&R 7’s OLE container support, you can link and embed objects in your R&R reports, include data from other Windows applications, and present your database information enhanced with OLE objects like Microsoft WordArt or Visio diagrams. With this feature, displaying intricate details in management, sales, or financial reports is absolutely effortless.

GUI Enhancements

R&R 7 includes GUI enhancements that let you set up your work sessions the way you want. Customize your report design views by splitting the screen, sizing the report layout screen for more control and work space. And you can accelerate your work by using Tabbed Dialogs to set reporting options in report design mode.

Right Mouse Button Selection

You’ll love the new Report Designer. It’s simpler than ever with right mouse button context menus. It saves you time and energy when creating and running reports, streamlining your keystrokes and mouse clicks.

Long Filename support

R&R 7 also helps you work smarter by eliminating guesswork when accessing your saved reports. That’s because R&R 7 supports long filenames, so you can descriptively name both reports and report libraries. The days of cryptic file names are gone forever!

32 Bit Runtime Modules

With R&R 7, you get 32-bit Runtime modules for the fastest and most robust programs available. Never before has it been easier to build Xbase reports and integrate them with your Windows 95/NT applications. R&R 7 lets you distribute 32-bit DLLs, EXEs, or OCXs, royalty-free. Distribute your customized R&R embedded with your favorite front-end programming utility. It is simply the best and fastest way to integrate with Visual C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, Visual FoxPro, Visual dBASE, Visual Objects, or any OCX-compliant tool.

What’s more, R&R 7’s OCX is upwardly compatible with the Visual Basic Custom Control (VBX) that it replaces from R&R 6.5. All of the properties that were available in the VBX (and more!) are available in the OCX. As a result, R&R 7 allows you to reuse your old reports, saving you valuable programming time and money, not to mention code. You get more robust programs, and you reduce your 32-bit development time.
